blog post ideas

When I first decided that I would launch a website/blog, my initial hesitation was, “What in the world am I going to write about?” Then came all the other normal insecurities: What if no one reads my posts? Do I have anything important to say? Will I be wasting time? Other people are successful, but that’s just not for me. I’m too busy to do this. I have way too many other things on my plate. My life isn’t really all that interesting or exciting.

Because I was having all of those negative thoughts and feelings, I knew this was something I had to explore. Ignoring insecurities and negative self-talk is definitely not easy, but if I can spend any amount of my brain power telling myself that I can’t or shouldn’t do something, then I know I need to make it a priority and actually DO it. Shut. That. Voice. Down. I would NEVER let someone else talk to me that way, or allow someone else to tell me I couldn’t do something, so WHY would I allow myself to speak to me that way?

While I am far from having it all figured out, I did create this workbook to help get me started. I plan to check off every single one of these topics personally, and challenge you to do the same as well. Your voice is important. Your opinion and point of view is valuable. If you feel yourself dismissing an idea or dream due to negative thoughts, please remember that sometimes we are our own worst enemy and are much harder on ourselves. Kick those thoughts to the curb, and do you! Be you!
